I live within a mile of home...

Hi Hi there friends!!! Welcome back to Jimbo Goin' SLO.

It's October, and that must mean that I had a birthday. Which I did. And it wasn't too shabby either. This one was the big one-nine, but turned out to be quiet, aside from the many well-wishes of family and friend alike, and the great gifts (you know who you are).

The real celebration came this weekend, when I got a great surprise and found out that none other than Irish punk band Flogging Molly would be playing here on campus. And they'd be joined by Riverside, CA's very own Voodoo Glow Skulls. Two of my favorite bands playing together (with Go Betty Go, and I got to go!!!! So I sauntered on down to the Rec Center (gymnasium) and saw one of the best shows of my life. Molly puts on an amazing show, one where you can forget all your woes, sing and dance, have a great time, all amongst friends and classmates alike. No band I've ever seen can bring a crowd together in a lively sea of comradery like Molly can. They let you embrace you Irish heritage, and share it with those who have none. Cheers mates!!! Here's a few shots of the show.

When I got home from the show, I looked over my photos and decided to send some to the Mustang Daily, thinking they might want to use them. Well they did! This photo graced the top story of the Arts & Entertainment section, with credit to yours truly. Woot!
